I am first and foremost a born again Christian. I am not "PC" by any definition of the word. I tend to say exactly what I mean. I am wife to John - the best hubby in the world! I have two incredible children - Katelyn (15) and Michael (10, and quick to point out this now makes him a tween). They go to a Christian school, and I like volunteering there. We live on 3 acres of land. We are planning on growing most of our own food this year. I have multiple food allergies which make eating ...um... interesting. I follow the Total Health Makeover style of eating. You can get more information at www.marilu.com. Since one of my allergies is food preservatives, we eat almost no convenience foods. I make just about everything from scratch. The more control I have over my food the better. Passing out, rashes and cysts, extreme stomach issues, and pain are just no fun.I am currently working on becoming more organized without going over into OCD. I also have a growing home business. All in all, I stay busy.Praise God for all the blessings He has given us. I can't wait to share His works in our lives.
I'd like to start canning my own pickles and relish and stuff. But I'm allergic to the whole onion family, which includes garlic. Anyone have any suggestions about what I can substitute? Or can I just leave them out?
